The period for sending applications for the new edition of the Xuventude Mentoring Programme is now open. Young people between 18 and 30 years old registered and beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System who have completed university studies at degree/postgraduate level, higher vocational training or advanced studies in special education and who wish to have professional support and assistance from experienced mentors to focus their development towards the labour market, both employed and self-employed (see exceptions in the terms and conditions) can enrol in the Fifth Edition of the programme from today, 5 February until 1 March, with an offer for this edition of 250 participants.

Xuventude Mentoring is a complete training and mentoring programme promoted by the Conselleria de Política Social de la Xunta de Galicia in collaboration with the Consorcio para el desarrollo de aplicaciones de gestión universitaria (CIXUG), to support and accompany young people in their transition to professional life after finishing their studies.

This programme is co-financed by the European Union, in the framework of the FSE+ Programme, 60%, under the FSE+Galicia 2021-2027 Programme, in the political objective 4, priority 5, specific objective ESO4.1, measure 5.

Training actions of the Programme will be developed from the final publication of the beneficiaries who will participate in the Programme until 31 May 2024. In all these months the participants will have:

• Guidance and assistance from CIXUG's team of tutors, who are responsible for providing orientation, support and individualised improvement of the aptitudes and abilities that these people have in order to improve and obtain employment..
• Mentoring with professionals from the Galician area responsible for providing guidance, increasing the contact network and providing participants with an insight into the real world of the job market and how they can face it..
• Training activities that will allow participants enhance their knowledge and develop their competence profile. This activities will consist of compulsory and voluntary contents that will be carried out face-to-face, blended or telematically..
• Networking activities and company visits that will improve the employability and the contacts network..
