
IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE TRAINING AND MENTORING PROGRAMME OF THE CIXUG AND THE CONSELLERÍA DE CULTURA, LINGUA E XUVENTUDE
The application period for the new edition of the Xuventude Mentoring Programme is now open. Young people between 18 and 30 years old who are registered and beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System, who have completed undergraduate/postgraduate university studies, advanced vocational training or higher education in specialised fields, and who wish to receive professional support and assistance from experienced mentors to focus their development towards the labour market, both as employees and as self-employed workers (consult exceptions in the programme rules) can register for the sixth edition of the programme from today, 11 November, until 13 December, with an offer for this edition of 250 participants.
Xuventude Mentoring is a comprehensive training and mentoring programme promoted by the Conselleria de Política Social of the Xunta de Galicia in collaboration with the Consorcio para o desenvolvemento de aplicacións de xestión universitaria (CIXUG), to support and accompany young people in their transition to working life after completing their studies.
This programme is co-financed by the European Union, under the ESF+ Programme, at a rate of 60%, under the ESF+ Galicia 2021-2027 Programme, in policy objective 4, priority 5, specific objective ESO4.1, measure 5.A.06.
The Programme's training activities will be carried out from the final publication of the beneficiaries who will participate in the programme until 31 April 2025. During all these months, young people will have access to:
- Advice and support from the CIXUG team of tutors, who are responsible for guiding, supporting and improving the skills and abilities of these individuals on an individual basis with a view to improving their employability and helping them find work.
- Mentoring with professionals from the Galician region who are responsible for guiding participants, expanding their network of contacts, and giving them an insight into what the world of work is really like and how they can approach it.
- Training activities that will help young people expand their knowledge and develop their skills profile will consist of compulsory and optional content that will be delivered in person, blended learning or online.
- Interaction and networking activities and in-company visits that will improve employability and expand the network of contacts.
